Aircraft Structures Fitters - Fuse, Wing and Flight Controls
We have a number of vacancies in our Assembly Department for aircraft fitters and preferably with structures experience to work in our Wing, Fuse and Flight Controls teams. Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years relevant aviation industry experience along with the following skills and attributes:
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifically Imperial measurements
Work to limits of 0.030” or better
Manufacture and assemble parts from engineering drawings
Use jigs to manufacture aircraft assemblies
Use of various aviation engineering tools, equipment and machinery
Sound knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes
Tidy record keeping techniques
Commitment to quality
Be able to work as part of a team
Attention to quality, the ability to work cooperatively in small teams and reliability are essential.

CNC Mastercam Programmer
Pacific Aerospace is a New Zealand aircraft manufacturer with a dedication to consistency and quality located near Hamilton Airport.
We are seeking an experienced CNC Mastercam V9X 3D Mill Programmer to create 3D machining programs from engineering drawing data. Experience with Haas machine operating software would be an advantage. Applicants must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings as well as set-up, adjust and operate CNC machinery for accurate production of close tolerance aviation parts.
Primary responsibilities include:
Create 3D machining programs from engineering drawing data
Setup and operate CNC VF-8 Haas Mill to manufacture aircraft parts according to specifications
Checking quality of machined parts
Ensure compliance with company safe operating policies and procedures
Manual handling of aviation raw materials
Assisting with machinery maintenance
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Production Manager
Suitable candidates must have the following:
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in set-up and programming with CNC Mastercam software program (or similar) and a minimum 3-5 years' experience hands-on experience operating CNC equipment
Experience with Haas machine operating software
Strong communicator, both written and oral
A great "can-do" attitude and to be fit and capable
Excellent communication skills plus reading, writing and numeracy skills
Be comfortable with using imperial measurements
A good work ethic, punctuality and reliability are essential. Applicants must be prepared to work shifts and there will be a practical assessment of competency during the interview process.
